A Bit About Me, Professionally…
Hi! My name is Cat Blount and I have been writing stories for more than ten years as a published author, illustrator, and publisher. I also design “stories” and adventures, in the form of challenges, for my learners in Roblox! Whom do I write for? Well, children, but anyone can read and appreciate my books! If you are interested, you can find them here http://www.catblountstories.com! Whom are my classes for? 10-12 year old children. This age group is perfect for my challenges!
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and an Associate’s Degree in Merchandising. Since 2013, I have been my kids’ learning coach through an online, fully-accredited private school. I instruct and assist in courses in Language Arts [writing skills, handwriting, spelling, literature and comprehension, vocabulary, composition, grammar use and mechanics], history, mathematics, and science. Since 2011, I have traditionally taught my children at home.
I also provided fully immersive one-on-one English language instruction to grade children on a different continent, as well as designed material-related award systems to compliment teaching materials. This was my first venture into online learning!
I continued in the online world through a platform called Outschool. There I met my wonderful learners and they were introduced to “Cat’s Challenges and Friends!”
I am on my own now. All my courses are based here, at home, where they belong! I do not have the following that the other platforms offer, or the online presence, but I do have the passion and love for what I do! I am NOT good at social media, so you will not find much there, but meet me here on my website for all the information you need about me and my courses, and to connect with me directly!
A Bit About My Courses…
What started off as one Roblox course turned into a mix of different themes and opportunities for kids to learn very important life skills doing what they love => SPENDING TIME IN ROBLOX! I took my years in the corporate world planning meetings and merged it with my years in the creative realm, as a prolific children’s book author and illustrator, and BOOM – Cat’s Challenges and Friends! What an absolute pleasure I have, utilizing both loved experiences, to bring to your child creative, unique activities and adventures designed specifically and especially for them!

A Bit About Me, Personally…
Let me see…. I am married to my best friend! He and I have been married for over twenty years! We have wonderful children, and they ALWAYS make us laugh! My best times and memories are with these beautiful people I have been blessed with!
My dream is to live on a farm and raise small animals, and have my own fruit trees, and a pond for fishing! I truly like this dream.
I am a very private person, so social media does not come easy to me, and I do not share much, but I am a wonderful listener [everyone tells me that!].
I thank God for everyone and everything he has blessed us with and for loving us so very much!
Roblox!
I started using Roblox in 2019. It is a neat platform to house my interest-based courses! I design and/or build challenges that naturally encourages learners to practice and/or learn specific soft skills. They team up, work together, and use critical thinking to complete thought-provoking tasks. They learn how to work at what they want the outcome to be, and they learn to do it being perfect sports! They are set up in situations where they have to either depend on each other to complete my tasks, or depend on their own drive when it is a solo-feat.
My learners grow bonds, interact, and have a lot of fun all while learning, which surpasses any win in my visits, and THESE facts form my motivation for designing these course!
I do not work for Roblox, but I am on the list of Roblox Educators!
